Sue and Darius Mehta purchased Honeysuckle Cottage in April 2000. We have sympathetically converted two rooms to 4 star bed and breakfast accommodation with a Silver Award from VisitBritain. Before moving to Honeysuckle Cottage, we successfully ran a B&B in Malvern called the Chalet House for 6 years.
Our comfortable country cottage home dating back to the 18th century, is situated on an edge of a large common, offering bed and breakfast accommodation close to Bath in Wiltshire. The B&B is between Bradford on Avon (5 miles) and Melksham (3 miles).
The bed and breakfast accommodation is situated on a no through road in an area of complete peace and tranquillity, coupled with our hospitality and comfortable surroundings, this is a home from home.
Stay in our home in this quiet attractive village. Our bed & breakfast accommodation is an ideal base for visiting nearby sites as we are close to the National Trust village of Lacock and the old historic Saxon Town of Bradford on Avon and are within 20-25 minutes drive from Bath (12 minutes to the city limits!). There are many National Trust properties around and other places of interest are Longleat, Avebury, Bowood, Stourhead and Stonehenge, the White Horses and even crop circles and many other houses and gardens.
Our village of 700 souls boasts two pubs with restaurants, a very large common, two churches and the peace and quiet has to be experienced to be believed. If you are looking for quietude this is the b&b for you.
